Business Name Numerology Calculator: Chaldean, Pythagorean, Vedic and Lo Shu Analysis

Business name numerology is the practice of converting a business name into numbers to assess how well it supports the business behind it. This calculator analyses your name across four systems — Chaldean, Pythagorean, Vedic planetary compatibility and the Lo Shu grid — and tells you what each result means.

Enter your business name and your date of birth. The date of birth matters because a name can be numerologically strong in isolation and still be wrong for its owner.

What the calculator gives you

Chaldean compound and single digit. The primary reading for any business name. The compound is the full letter total; the single digit names the ruling planet. Chaldean numerology explained in full.

Pythagorean expression, soul urge and personality. How the name presents itself, what drives it, and the first impression it creates. Pythagorean numerology explained.

Vedic compatibility. Whether the name's ruling planet is friendly, neutral or hostile to your own — checked across several layers rather than one. Read your name against your date of birth.

Business Lo Shu grid. Which numbers appear in your name and which are missing. Missing numbers are the practical gaps — pricing discipline, communication, drive — and each has a low-cost remedy. Lo Shu grid explained.

How business name numerology works

Every letter carries a numeric value. Add the values of a business name and you get a total — the compound number. Reduce that total to one digit and you get the single digit, which maps to a ruling planet.

Two names can reduce to the same single digit while sitting on completely different compounds, and they will behave differently. This is why the compound matters as much as the digit, and why calculators that show only a single number are giving you half the reading. The full calculation method, with worked examples.

Legal suffixes — Pvt Ltd, LLP, Inc, Co — are stripped before calculating. They are registration formalities rather than the name customers actually use.

What makes a business name number good or bad

There is no universally lucky number. Suitability is what matters: a number that suits a trading business is often wrong for a research practice.

That said, three groups behave predictably:

Favourable compounds — 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 37, 41 and 51 — are traditionally regarded as supportive across most business types.

Warning compounds — 13, 16, 18, 26 and 29 — describe recurring patterns of obstruction. They are the one case where correcting a name is genuinely urgent. What each warning number means.

Master numbers — 11, 22 and 33 — are never reduced. They carry amplified versions of 2, 4 and 6. Master numbers in business.

Everything else is neutral, which means the name neither helps nor hinders and the business succeeds on other factors. The complete compound number table, 10 to 99.

If your result is not what you hoped

A weak result rarely calls for a rename as the first move. In ascending order of cost:

  1. Change the display spelling on signage, website and marketing. Numerology reads the name as written and used daily, so this captures most of the benefit without touching your registration.
  2. Strengthen the supporting layers — brand colours aligned to your ruling planet, the business phone number, and the timing of major decisions.
  3. Correct the name properly. This is justified when the compound is one of the warning numbers, and rarely otherwise. The correction calculator finds spellings that keep the brand recognisable.

Is business numerology reliable?

Numerology is a traditional interpretive framework, not a science, and this site does not claim otherwise. It has no predictive power that has been demonstrated under controlled conditions.

What it does offer is a structured way to think about a decision — a business name — that most founders otherwise make on instinct alone. Used that way, alongside market judgement rather than instead of it, it is a useful lens. What business numerology is, in full and how this site calculates everything set out the reasoning and the sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this business name numerology calculator free?

Yes. The calculation, the compound number, the ruling planet, the Vedic compatibility check and the Lo Shu grid are all free. A detailed interpretation report is available separately for those who want the full analysis in writing.

Do I include Pvt Ltd or LLP in my business name?

No. Legal suffixes are stripped automatically. Numerology reads the name customers use, not the registration formalities attached to it.

Which numerology system is best for business names?

Chaldean, in most practitioners' view, because it assigns values by sound rather than alphabetical order — and business names are spoken far more often than they are spelled out. The full comparison is here.

Why does the calculator ask for my date of birth?

Because a business name that conflicts with its owner's numbers creates persistent friction, and that mismatch is the most common reason a strong-looking name underperforms. Read more about the date-of-birth reading.

What if my business name gives an unlucky number?

Check whether it is genuinely a warning compound or merely neutral — most names are neutral. Warning compounds justify correction; neutral ones usually do not. The warning numbers are listed here.
